So I put 'Twas the Night  Before Christmas  through Google Translate. Specifically Spanish, Hindi, French, Portuguese, and Latin.

What I got was an absurd fantasy that involves horses doing yoga and a very hairy St. Nicholas.Read more... )
His socks were hanging up on the chimney, with the goal of Saint Nicholas
Unless all the children stay in bed,
This was their point of view of the Chinese drum scene
His mother Kerkirf, and me, in my cap;
Now, their brain lives a long time in winter

When you go;
I am speaking in bed.
During the window facing similar glorous
Lorem opened attack for.

Monday - new snow fall
it has been shown that the midday is one glory of the items below
When my thoughts were on
small little sleigh and eight dollars

The old man's old, and very fast driver
At that moment we know that this will be
When the eagle arrives
And he whistled and cried; and named them!

"Now, Dasher! Now Dancer! Now, the Wixon Panners!
But the comet! Venus! On, Donner and Blitzen!
At the top of the porch! And to the wall!
Now, go far! Get out! All works!'

From leaves before flying wild weather;
Delays skyrocketing in the sky
The one who fights the top of the house;
Full of sledge toys and a St. Nicholas

I heard on the terrace
Each projection and a small pan
At the head of the flame; As he walked;
St. Nicholas tied down the chimney.

And he was fur from head to toe;
Clothes, smeared with ashes and soot, and
A package of toys he had
And we see the boaters, the eye of a fair man of his animal

How to shine the eyes? His dimples, so happy!
Play like roses and cherries, with the same fury!
High as a surprised arc mouth
The white beard of the snow on the chin too.

And he will come forward with the rod that he squeezed out of his pipe and in his teeth:
Here's a smoke like a coral head.
He had a broad belly that was wide,
So Sarah laughed a bowl candy threat!

Who would be fat, older and a great Yogi of horses?
And when I saw it, did I laugh?
Myself and I
Are you afraid of fast?

He did not answer anything, and went directly to his work,
They were all stuffed socks and he fell
Based on the toes, on the nose,
While climbing up

I came to the land, its horses, they carry a lot of colors, and a hissing,
Thistle to the whole wind
But he had heard that, according to what I had heard,
"Happy and good night all Christmas!"

Is anyone else just not getting their friends' posts?

Because seriously, 24 hours will pass and I'll have five posts on my feed. Fine, it's a busy time of year and LJ's not that active, but then I go to individual LJs and surprise: I never saw their posts, even though there's only been about five posts a day, so you'd think I would've remembered that one.

Is LJ doing what facebook does? I don't really use filters so I don't think it's that.

It's hidden a few posts in the past, as I've said before, but either I'm using a filter and don't realize it or... I don't know. Anyone else having this issue?

(The one non-tech possibility I can think of is that people do seem to be posting what's later into the evening/night my time, and I tend to go offline around 10, 10:30 EST. So maybe everyone's just updating when I've already signed off for the night?)

I keep forgetting to post what happened last Sunday.

It was really weird... I was in Philadelphia, just on a day trip with my parents. Well, at one point, I saw a girl, probably around my age, with black curly hair, really short, and pale skin.

I couldn't help it: I could've sworn I knew her.

This has happened before - I see people, and I could swear I know them from somewhere, and I can't remember where.

She looked at me, and her face seemed to show she was thinking the same thing.

I know you.

I'd say maybe she was someone from my area, but how likely is it that, given that we're about an hour and a half away from Philly?

I wish I'd said something, but I sort of just walked away with my parents and Michelle (my cousin).

This has happened before.  Last summer, I was in Conneticut, and saw a middle aged (ish) woman. I was so startled... I wanted to ask if I knew her, but again, I was with my parents, and besides... you have to be careful in doing those things. Not to mention the fact that we were rushing, and I didn't really absorb what'd just happened until we'd passed her.

What really puzzles me is that the girl reacted right back. She looked at me as if we were long lost friends.

I know I know her. And it still bugs me, nearly a week later.

I think I'm also posting it in case it was one of you or something. I don't know how many of you I've exchanged pictures with.

Of course, maybe it's past life regression or something. (Yes, I believe in reincarnation). Or maybe we just both remind one another of other people.
Or... who knows?

Anyone else ever had one of those moments?
