I'd ask every President before Lincoln who knew slavery was wrong why they didn't abolish it.
I'd ask John Adams why he didn't listen to Abigail.
I'd then go back further, to England, to Ancient Rome, to the Ice Age, asking violators of social justice why.
Yes, times were different. They always have been. But there were those who knew, even then, what they were doing was wrong - and proceeded forth anyway.

I pretty much like this idea ... too bad it is not possible.
I think the question of guilt, doing nothing while knowing and the significant WHY is so disscusable.
