Writer's Block: One last question ...

[Error: unknown template qotd]
I'd ask every President before Lincoln who knew slavery was wrong why they didn't abolish it.

I'd ask John Adams why he didn't listen to Abigail.

I'd then go back further, to England, to Ancient Rome, to the Ice Age, asking violators of social justice why.

Yes, times were different. They always have been. But there were those who knew, even then, what they were doing was wrong - and proceeded forth anyway.

Wow.
I think that is the most sophisticated answer to this question that I've read the entire day.
I pretty much like this idea ... too bad it is not possible.

I think the question of guilt, doing nothing while knowing and the significant WHY is so disscusable.
Man, you really made me starting to think about it ... well done! :)

That's an easy one. "Because it was politically, sociologically, economically, or personally useful not to."

Remember the ladies...

Oh, John and Abigail are two of my favorite historical figures. Their letters back and forth were so fascinating. She certainly seemed like an amazing woman.
