Okay, this was meant to go into a rec community - but this works too!

Title: Discussions, first of the "Dis-" series.

Summary:  Theodore Nott would like to forget a future he doesn't want - and music has always provided a distraction. Anne Fairleigh just wants the chance to
practice her flute in peace. But a chance friendship between pureblood Slytherin and
Muggle-born Hufflepuff soon raises the very questions Theodore has been avoiding and Anne never thought to ask.

Status: Complete, along with the other fics; this fic is a one shot, but the series in general depend. Some are ont shots, some are chapters.

Specific highlights: The fic is more than just a romance fic; it's an exploration of people. We see that not all Hufflepuffs are "just", and not all Slytherins are callous. We see family and friend relationships (or, in some cases, lack thereof), and then, of course, the war itself. And the romance parts aren't fluffy, cheesy lines; they are scenes where you can tell Theo and Anne aren't just boyfriend and girlfriend, but best friends, too.
