The Morbid Games

The other day I posted about morbid sequels to children's/YA works, OR the story getting more morbid as the characters aged, and how that can be annoying. So in honor of that, I bring you: The Morbid Games, which is sort of a parody.

Pick a series, and fill in the categories - all of them, some of them, and/or create your own - whatever you'd like. Bonus points if you create a fic out of it - if you do, let me know and I will link!  I'll leave this public so anyone can play. Make this as ridiculous as you'd like, that's the point. (Although if it's sadder than ridiculous, that's fine too. I'm really not a rules person, can you tell?) You can play more than once, but make a new comment.

And if you're still not sure what I mean, I'm referring not necessarily to adult versions of series or later books/episodes/movies where the characters are older and therefore face more mature situations (that's realistic), but where it's so contrived it's like the writers wanted to be sure you realized They Are Adults Now, or where it wasn't necessarily contrived, but a bit OOC. Of course, Your Mileage May Very here.

Series: Harry Potter

Left at the altar: Hermione by Ron - but it wasn't him, he was Polyjuice'd by Cormac McLaggen.

Leaves town and refuses to come back ever: Hermione.

What eventually brings them back, if anything? Ron gets a cold.

Trauma that made them leave in the first place, if any? See above.

Dies for no apparent reason: Hagrid.

Cause of death: A Thestral fell on his head.

Becomes an assassin: George Weasley.

Sacrifices himself or herself heroically: Seamus Finnegan.

Character(s) everyone's almost forgotten about: Hagrid, until a Thestral fell on his head.

Joins a cult: Ginny Weasley.

Has a bitter, loveless sexual "relationship": Crookshanks with Mrs. Norris.

Leaves town and refuses to come back ever: Sally refuses to ever come back to town.

What eventually brings them back, if anything? She returns when Charlie Brown finally breaks his leg and suffers a concussion due to Lucy pulling the ball away.

Trauma that made them leave in the first place, if any? Snoopy contracted rabies and bit her.

Dies for no apparent reason: Lucy

Cause of death: Murdered by the little red haired girl.

Becomes an assassin: The little red haired girl.

Sacrifices himself or herself heroically: Marci, protecting Charlie Brown FROM the little red haired girl.

Character(s) everyone's almost forgotten about: Peggy Jean

Joins a cult: Pig Pen

Has a bitter, loveless sexual "relationship": Peppermint Pattie with Schroeder

Item or place from their teen years that's destroyed: After Snoopy dies of rabies, the dog house is burned in his honor.
