I didn't start keeping a diary until on and off in the summer. Actually my teenage stuff was pretty normal: boys, fighting with my mother, homework issues, etc. I was surprised at how "typical" my entries were when I felt so abnormal a lot of the time!

My twentysomething diaries are what make me blush now. I was clinically depressed at the time (no access to mental health care), and what came out wasn't pretty.

I would probably have a hard time reading my diary from the sixth grade like I did until Live Journal came along since my writing looks like something from a lost ancient civilization.

However, I get what you're saying when I read some of my entries I made on LJ years ago.

I recently found an old notebook with some writing I had done in 2007 or so (it was in the same notebook as my TDH reactions). Except... I have NO recollection of writing that stuff. O_o It was VERY weird, literally like reading someone else's stuff!

Thankfully it was actually not that bad. :p

Oh God, LJ... I can't read my entries from years ago. I probably would've been considered close to a Social Justice Warrior, I whined about everything, it goes on. I've even gone back and deleted a few old entries.

My handwriting still looks like something from a lost ancient civilization. :P
