This just broke my heart.

And for a slightly happier topiic, question for Wicked fans: Does anyone know if the play is in a movie form as well? Like Oklahoma and A West Side Story? (Or am I just really naive?)

As far as I know, there's no movie. They'll probably make one eventually, with how popular it is, but that won't happen for a few more years at least.

Yeah, there's no movie, because it's a relatively new show.

And for the story - Oh. There really aren't a lot of words. Just...oh.

I know. :( The poor mother.

Oh! That's so sad! Why does everything bad seem to happen relatively near me nowadays?

Oh dear, that broke my heart. All I know is that at least her intention was good and she is in a better place... :)

Aww, that's horrible! I feel awful for her family. She sounded like a really kind-hearted kid :(

Oh. *no words to express such sorrow*

Yeah... now that I think about it, I wish I hadn't shared that news and then asked about a musical. I feel a little selfish.

The poor girl indeed - all she wanted to do was save an animal. :(

I think it'll probably be a while. It took 9 years for South Pacific, 12 years for Fiddler on the Roof, and 18 for both Evita and Phantom of the Opera. So don't expect it too soon.

On the other hand, West Side Story only took four years, so you might get lucky.

Yeah - after all, the musical itself didn't take that long.

However, I've since heard things about Wicked - the music version - that make me a tad less eager to see it.

Well, I'm not familiar in the slightest with "Wicked", so I can't say either way-the best way to judge would be to get out a CD and listen to it.

'Wicked' is actually a play based on a prequel novel to 'The Wizard of Oz'. Interestingly enough, that makes it a fanfic. All the fanfic writers need to do is wait about 30 years, and Harry Potter is going to be public domain then. I would not be shocked if one day in the not so beyond-the-horizon future, there will be full Harry Potter fanfic novels being written.

Nope, Wicked hasn't been a movie, but it probably will sometime in the next 15 years.

BTW, I really like your LJ, so I shall be friending you in the next few microseconds. I discovered it from a friend's f-list.
