Do you want to be friended at DW, LJ or both? Both, although I am trying to migrate towards DW.

Fandom & Other Interests

Main fandoms (i.e. that you actively participate in) Harry Potter and Earth's Children, but I also poke around Firefly, Parks and Recreation, Community and Doctor Who. Not especially active in any of them (though I used to be), but active enough.

Ships: Not a huge shipper, but I prefer Ron/Hermione, Remus/Tonks, Zoe/Wash, Leslie/Ben, Britta/Troy.

Favorite TV shows: Firefly, Doctor Who, Parks and Recreation, Castle, Mad Men, Little Mosque on the Prairie (a very new find).

Favorite movies: The first Pirates of the Carribean, Secondhand Lions, Little Miss Sunshine, The Princess Bride.

Favorite books: The Harry Potter series, Clan of the Cave Bear, Persepolis, The Hunger Games, Chesapeake.

Favorite bands/artists: The Lumineers, Lady Antebellum, Alison Krauss.

Other hobbies and interests: Genealogy, history, if it's really nerdy (but not scientific) I'm probably into it.

What sort of things do you post? I post a bit of everything... social commentary, media commentary, thoughts on my own life.

What sort of fandom activities do you participate in? I don't participate as much as I used to, but I do occasionally post fic, and now that I have my life back I'd like to read more. I'm very inclined to post about the things I love, whether they're my fandom or not.

What sort of fandom activities do you have an interest in reading/reading about/viewing? I love intense discussion; that's what drew me to fandom initially, and I must admit I feel there's not a whole lot of it these days and I miss that. I also enjoy fanfic (more so now that I have time again) and fanart. Really though, I'm not that selective.

Is there anything - fandomwise or just in general - that you will not read? Well, I rarely read smut, though I don't mind if people post it. I will admit I'm very uncomfortable with chan and non-con though.

Do you want to be friended at LJ, DW or both? Both, though I am trying to "migrate" to DW so if you're reading this on LJ but have a DW account, definitely add me there too.

Yeah, it's fun, if sometimes frustrating! But sometimes it's a fun kind of frustrating, even.

Yeah. My mom's maiden name is really common unfortunately, so I get stuck right when her memory ends. Like two guys with the same name, born and died in the same year as each other, lived in the same city most of their lives... but had different parents names! GRR
