Absolutely - a few of them. Friendships can be just as destructive as romantic relationships - I've had friends who manipulated my feelings the same way a controlling boyfriend would. If I said apples, they said oranges, and I was a bad person for saying apples. Or they'd play "now I like you, now I don't" games.

Romantic or platonic, it's important to understand that if someone truly deserves your heart, they won't make you feel like bad about yourself or play games. That's not to say there won't be fights and misunderstandings, but there's limits. They may care about you, but they also feel like they can control you, and that's not a healthy attitude you want from someone you love.

As for if I've ever regretted it...  yes and no. I think there are friendships I gave up on too quickly, but other friendships... not so much. It hurt, and there are people I still miss, despite all the crap they put me through, because I truly did love them and care about them. But sometimes you have to put your own well being first.
