She'd been chubby in school and in her early twenties, but now it was coming back. All of it.
Deep down, Hannah knew it was pregnancy weight - her friends all said it was lovely. Besides, she knew it was vain to worry about such a thing.
But she couldn't help it - she felt ugly.
"Hannah?"
Hannah turned.
Neville had walked into the room, a slight frown on his face.
"Why do you keep staring at yourself in the mirror?" He asked.
"I... look at me, Neville," Hannah said. "Look at me. I'm chubby again... like her."
Neville frowned. "Like who?"
Hannah hesitated, and finally mumbled "younger Hannah."
"Why is that a bad thing?" Neville asked.
Hannah sighed.
"I don't know," she admitted. "I'm - I'm so scared, Neville."
Neville took Hannah into his arms.
"You're going to be a great mother," he said quietly. "You have nothing to worry about."
Hannah didn't ask how he knew that was what was really bothering her when she hadn't realized it; she just hugged him back.

Thank you!

I thought that interaction was very true to character and also precious.
Also people don't have to be drop dead gorgeous to be in love or happy with each other.

They were finally together, she thought. They should have been together long before now, but although her brother was an intelligent doctor, he hadn't known where to start when it came to talking to women.
Kaylee and Simon did not talk much about Wash - they'd made a silent agreement to keep strong, if only for Zoe's sake. They did not talk about the awkward silences of times before, of the misunderstandings they'd had. They did not attempt to make up for lost time.
They just sat together, all their questions already answered.
As long as they had one another, everything would be okay.

Neville talking to Gran after the Battle at the Dept. of Mysteries, explaining why, exactly, he needs a new wand.

Neville looked up from the hospital bed as his grandmother raced into the room.
"Neville, are you all right?" Augusta asked.
"I'm fine, Gran," Neville said. "Just a broken nose... they mostly wanted me in here, you know..."
"I know," Gran said. "Is it true you were abducted?"
"Not exactly," Neville said, but his grandmother wasn't listening; she was checking his face, his arms, and his hair.
"Where's your wand?" Augusta asked as she eyed his bedside table. "You always keep your wand with you."
"Um... about that," Neville said. "I need a new one. I'm - I'm so sorry."
Augusta's face crumpled a little. "Your father's wand? You lost it when the Death Eaters took you there?"
"Nobody took me anywhere," Neville said. "I went on my own accord, to help Harry find his Godfather."
Augusta's eyes widened, and her mouth opened.
For a moment, Neville thought perhaps she would praise him...
But instead, Augusta let out a weird noise.
"You could have been killed."
Neville sat back into his pillow, but not defeated.
He'd never win with her, but he'd make sure they won with those horrible Death Eaters - and for once, he knew he could.

I also liked this story. To often Augusta and Neville's relationship is portrayed in an extreme way and Augusta isn't at all feeling. I think the spin she puts on events is the likely one for her to make given that the situation wouldn't make sense to outsiders. Her reaction is very human. I like Neville's response as well, a little hopeful.

Being a flatmate is a trying task for any witch or wizard. Indeed, one may wake up to find their favorite socks a boiling cauldron if things go awry.
Fear not, though. There are five simple rules that will guide you in being the ideal roommate.
Remus and Tonks looked up from the book, and laughed.
Rule #1: Don't take the last of anything. Save it for a guest.
"Wotcher, Remus," Tonks said as she strolled into the kitchen, yawning. "Still up?"
Remus nodded. "Couldn't sleep-"
But Remus was interrupted by a loud screech.
"What's wrong?" He asked as he stood quickly.
Tonks was staring at the cookie jar.
"No more cookies!"
Remus licked his lips awkwardly.
Rule #2: Use tact.
Tonks walked into Remus's room.
"Hey, Remus," she said, "I'm thinking of getting some of that... pizza stuff my muggle cousins like so much. Want any?"
Then she saw he was packing.
"Oh, I forgot, full moon," Tonks blurted.
Remus stopped, and stared at her.
"Um... I saw your file," Tonks admitted. "Ages ago. But don't worry, I don't bite - I mean - um -"
To her relief, Remus laughed.
Rule #3: Don't intervene.
"Excuse me, excuse me."
Remus and Tonks looked at one another and groaned as Rita Skeeter hurried up to them.
Rita's eyes fixed on Tonks. "Aren't you that Auror who's related to Sirius Black?"
For once, Tonks didn't come up with a snarky reply; her face fell, and she hesitated.
"Well," Remus began, "that makes the wizarding world a little safer, doesn't it? I know I sleep easier at night knowing we have someone who knows how Death Eaters work on our side."
Remus took Tonks's arm, and the two friends walked away from the stunned reporter.
Rule #4: Don't do dangerous things just to make your flatmate happy.
Tonks crept into the flat, looking around.
Remus was on the sofa, reading. How unusual.
"Remus? Are we alone?" Tonks asked.
Remus looked up at her. "What?"
"Are we alone?"
"I - guess?"
"Good," Tonks said. "Close the curtains, I've got a surprise for you."
"Close the - what?"
"Just do it," Tonks said.
Remus gave her a bemused look, but obliged; Tonks turned, and motioned for the black dog to come in.
Remus's eyes widened as he stared. "Sirius?"
Sirius grinned after he transformed. "Dora didn't want any of us to be alone on Christmas."
Rule #5: To avoid sticky situations, don't fall in love.
"You really have to go," Tonks said as Remus closed his trunk.
Remus sighed. "I need to be there, with Sirius. Besides, you'll get a flatmate who can actually help with the rent."
"There's more important things in life than money," Tonks said softly.
"Like fighting the war," Remus reminded her.
Tonks hesitated, and suddenly, she threw her arms around him.
Remus hugged her back, and it was several seconds before he let go.
