I have a question for you Heroes people. I am putting this under a cut for spoilers, though it's only spoilery up to the Six Months Ago episode.

So, Jessica and Niki.. I've recently realized that there's no clear explanation for them.

I was always under the impression that they were of a Jekyll/Hyde complex - two people, one body, and that Jessica and Niki's deceased sister are the same person.

However, I've seen a lot of people suggest it's actually Dissociative Identity Disorder (sometimes called "Multiple Personality DIsorder", though apparently psychologists now avoid that term.) And I'm starting to wonder if that wouldn't make more sense.

I've also seen it suggested that there is someone in Niki's body other than Niki, but that rather than Jessica, it's someone completely different.

So, I'm asking for opinions... DID, Jessica in Niki's body, someone else in Niki's body, or something else entirely?

I think it might be a combination of Jekyll/Hyde complex and DID. As in, maybe this DID personality began to take on a life of its own, maybe because of/at the same time as Niki's emerging superstrength powers.

The idea that when Jessica died and Niki started getting beaten up and her powers started coming out, Niki developed DID and doesn't really have her sister in her head kind of scares me. I hope it's just that Jess was able to use her superpower to put herself in Niki's head.

I think it's Jessica in Niki's body. It would be a pretty...weird...form of DID if it wasn't, with the whole 'seeing her in mirrors' thing and all.
