Friending Frenzy

(Edited due to lack of clarity).
Am holding a friending frenzy. In other words, plug your LJ, or friend based on other people's comments. Communities and fandom/fic related LJs count, as well as general ones that may not even center around a certain theme.
Talk about yourself in the comments. Your name, age, LJ topics, interests, etc. Or, as i said before, friend based on comments you see.
Ready, set, go!

Date: 2006-11-15 10:18 pm (UTC)HOLA! My name is Michelle, though some nutters know me as Delleve. I'm 16 years old, though I've been accused of being an old soul by my dad. This is mostly because I like The Beatles and motown. I am probably obsessed with too many things. Lemonade is my coffee (and therefore my lifeforce). I can recite just about any Disney song that you challenge me with. I'm a Cancer... therefore I'm shy, moody, and I probably won't talk to you. JK Rowling knows who I am (and, yes, I totally remind myself of this fact when I feel like crap). Commas sometimes perplex me and I am a strong believer that math is Satan's favorite subject. I'd like to think that I'm an open-minded person, although I've been known to give a roundhouse kick to the face or two.
In all reality, I will probably end up being the insane lady down the street with all the cats. But, hey, I can promise you that I will fully live up to that title when the time comes.
:)

Yay Google!
and you'd get
Yay Google! (http://www.google.com)
I hope I've understood your question correctly.

Date: 2006-11-16 05:28 am (UTC)I guess I should start with a disclaimer. I like having a small f-list because I firmly believe in keeping up with all my friends and commenting frequently. So I'm only looking to add a small handful of new friends.
I go by Astrid, Astrid_rose, purple_ladybug1, and...yeah, that's it. I'm a 19 year old college student. I attend a small, private, prestigious liberal arts school in the South. My only fandom is HP, but I don't write any fanfiction. I'm a moderate both politically and religiously. Christianity is very important to me. I'm very involved with RUF (Reformed University Fellowship) and Kappa Kappa Gamma, my sorority. I talk about my classes, my friends, my sisters, and random stuff in my life. I'm obsessed with the guys in Pi Kappa Phi, and I frequently bring up my guy friends and/or crushes. In December I'm going to be presented as a debutante. I love life, and I love people.
My journal is locked, although I haven't gone through and locked all my old posts. Let me know if you friend me. I'll probably friend back.
P.S. My icon is me, from my first Kappa function in February.
Lots of things you may or may not want to know about me:
Date: 2006-11-16 01:55 pm (UTC)I go by Daintress everywhere online. I'm fairly certain I'm the only one, as I conceived of the nickname 11 years ago (when I started college) and have been using it ever since. I occasionally google it to see if anything comes up that isn't mine, but I haven't seen anyone stealing it yet.
My journal includes posts about work, life, and HP fan fiction, plus whatever rpg I'm currently involved in. The occasional short story gets posted, but for the most part, my stories are in my 'memories' file, and were written quite a while ago. (Pre HBP) I'm fairly conservative, and enjoy debating, so occasionally there will be political posts. I'm usually in the minority on that front, but enjoy the debates anyway.
The journal is friends only, and I DID take the trouble to go back and lock every post except the first one, because I'm anal that way. But my bio is entertaining, if not informative.
I am trying to begin an rpg at

Date: 2006-11-16 11:51 pm (UTC)Mine is pre-HBP too. I finally got tired of trying to adjust all my plots to match the ever changing canon, so I just write it the way I want with the Marauders. The major stuff up to OOTP is included. Luckily, JKR didn't mess me up with anything in HBP.

Date: 2006-11-16 09:08 pm (UTC)I'm a 29-year-old married chick with a 2-year-old
braintemperattention spanson. HP is my only fandom, and I got into it just before HBP came out by posting on TLC. Since then, I've sunk deeper and deeper into the labyrinthian chasm of HP fandom, and pretty much enjoyed every minute of it. I still get my meta on every once in a while with an essay or two, but I also write fanfic, dabble with filks, routinely make an ass of myself onno subject
Date: 2006-11-17 02:13 am (UTC)Me? Well... I'm simply interesting. Or amusing. In various ways. I'm fourteen, live in Nowhere, Maine, and am in HP fandom... Not a whole lot, though. Doing NaNoWriMo, (currently at 30k, YES), and I'm actually planning to do NaNoJanMo and NaNoMarMo (I sort of just made those up now, but it works. I think) because my story is one that I can continue for a while and I like it. And I like writing, and this sort of forces me to write. It's nice.
Aaaanyway... My posts, which will resume more frequently after NaNo ends, I promise, are about my life. Which actually isn't all that interesting, but I'm just basically insane, so it's fun anyway. Er... My life currently consists of NaNo, school, contra dancing, and applying to three different high schools.
Hmm. That's it, I think. Oh, and call me Airri. Most people around here do.

Date: 2006-11-17 02:35 am (UTC)I've been inactive from writing fanfic -- and HP fandom in general -- for a while, though I do continue to hack away at my Year 7 Fic O'Doom in spurts. It may -- or may NOT -- be finished...or posted.....eventually......
Oh, and I'm a procrastinator. LOL
I have a husband, two cats, two children, and a hundred other things I'm supposed to be doing right now. Smooches! Friend at will...if you're feeling masochistic...And I'll likely friend you back. :D Love, LB

Date: 2006-11-17 03:46 am (UTC)I'm a big gay rights supporter. To me, gays and straight folk are equal, to the point where I forget sometimes that lots of other people are shocked and disapproving of homosexual relationships/sex/undertones. (Forget and then get irritated when I run face-first into reminders.) I was raised Roman Catholic but have (thank god) a critical and open mind that has put me at odds with some (okay... lots) of church teaching.
The internet is WONDERFUL. It exposes you to so many great things, great people, the rest of the whole world.
Internet friendships are vastly underrated.
People ROCK.

Date: 2006-11-19 05:32 am (UTC)I like kidlit and medieval history and science fiction and fantasy and busking and walking barefoot in Central Park, and reading Shakespeare aloud as you walk, and Irish music sessions and Richard III.
My TV shows: Heroes, Veronica Mars, Grey's Anatomy, Lost, Battlestar Galactica, Dead Like Me, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Carnivale
I'm married, I'm Orthodox Jewish. Once, a baby nubian ibex thought I was her mom. That was pretty cool.

Date: 2006-11-19 06:41 am (UTC)I'm 19, a former band dork, active in CLAMP fandom, especially Cardcaptor Sakura and xxxHOLiC. I'm Christian, a computer nerd, and I like to rant about fanfic, fandom, and sometimes real life in my journal.
If you want to read some good Cardcaptor Sakura fic, let me pimp the fic journal,
