So I'm doing a "radio show" of Wicked - basically, the Abridged version of it. Think Movie in Fifteen Minutes or Book A Minute meets A Prarie Home Companion. (The radio show, NOT the movie!) Note that it will have spoilers, so be cautious.

Anyway, I need a cast. I already have a few people, but I need the following:

1. A DJ. Must be able to be loud and slightly annoying.

2. A Wizard. *

3. A Fiyero. *

4. A Boq. *

5. Assorted Ozians... I'd say five to six people would work.

6. A Dr. Dillamond. * Must be able - and willing - to "baaa" a lot.

7. Two audience members - a Glinda/Elphaba shipper and a cynic who keeps pointing out that everything is forshadowing.

* With the male roles, you don't have to be a guy, but you should be able to at least talk with a bit of a low voice. Especially with the wizard.

Roles I already have cast, but might need a standby  for if something doesn't work out:

1. Elphaba, currently claimed by PixieDragon.

2. Madame Morrible, currently claimed by [profile] julibeth.

3. Nessarose, currently claimed by [profile] linda_lupos.

4. Dorothy, currently claimed by me.

5. Glinda, currently claimed by [personal profile] lady_sarai

6. Dr. Dillamond, currently claimed by [personal profile] parsimonia.

If you're interested, or know anyone who might be, please let me know! No singing is involved. Also, give me a few roles you'd like to play, in some cases I'll simply cast the same person.

Oh that's awesome. I'll do anything that's needed! I'm kinda tempted to do Doctor Dillamond, though I would have to fake a male voice, so it may not be that great. But a Goat may have a higher-pitched voice, right? lol

Well, try it - I'm sure you'll be fine!

Yay! Just let me know when you need me. I assume this'll be done over skype?

I'm going to have to figure that out. It'll also have to be recorded with audacity. I may have to just have everyone record their lines, and then have Madame Morrible Julie or someone put them all together, but people who have lines together can talk on Skype. It's not as fun, but it's impossible to get this many people on all at once, and not everyone even has Skype - Skype tends to screw up computers. I never have mine on unless I need to talk to someone there, and even then, I prefer using other messaging systems if that's an option. And when I am using it, I don't really bother trying to do anything else computerwise, because Skype slows everything down. Some people's computers simply crash with Skype, period.

But yeah, I'm getting a Cast first. :) One step at a time! Besides, that's how Wicked itself was done. ;)

I would so totally be the Glinda/Elphaba shipper, but my comp's mike is screwing up...I might be able to convince my sister to let me use hers if it's a one-time deal.

That sounds so awesome! Too bad my mike is busted.

Am looking forward to it, though!

Well, let me know what she says. It probably is just a one time deal... you only have two actual lines. Basically, you giggle and go "hahaha Glinda cameout of the closest, Gelphie all the way!" and then go "oops" when the actress playing Elphaba scolds you.

Well, my voice varies from a distant Keanu Reeves monotone to an earnest tone with a limited set of intonations like... um, Brandon Routh in "Superman Returns." Lux once told me that my voice sounded exactly like Connor on "Angel." I don't know if that's any sort of guide.

Not really, have never watched any of those. But monotone... not sure. Who were you thinking of being? Mono to earnest would probably be Fiyero or Boq... monotone with a hint of snobbery in the beginning, earnest by the end with Fiyero, confusing with Boq by the end.

So just let me know.

Erm. I don't know. Who do you think I might work as? I can do aristocratic snobbery just fine. I can do earnest. I can transition just fine. Whatever you like. :-)
