Fandom Memories - the good times!

The things I remember... wow. I think I'm going to cross-post the list to my LJ, since it'll be so long. My list is more related to between late 2001-2003, but 2003 is included. Plus, the wanky stuff did take place between 2001-2003,so it's appropriate, IMO, that I also include those.
1. The FAP chats. We talked about really weird fics, good fics, laughed, cried... etc.
2. METMA before it became dysfunct. We were insane, but a fun kind of insane. Like FAP. :)
3. Writing a Georgia Nicholson-Harry Potter crossover with my friend, GinnyHaHa. Man, looking back, it was pure crap...
4. The wankage fights between Telepwen and I. Looking back, they were so stupid... we're actually friends now, and laugh over how dumb it all was. (What we fought over doesn't even matter).
5. The Ariana Black series - "Ariana", the author, is now one of my best friends, along with Ameena, who had also read the fics.
(Hey - as I was typing that, Ameena - julibeth on LJ - happened to call!)
6. "Remus Lupin" - another fic that resulted in my tracking down the author (Linda Lupos), also now one of my best friends.
7. The Maraudera phase I went through; I looked at only Marauder fanart, only Marauder fanfic, and used to have daydreams in which MWPP ended up at my school. I even attempted a MWPP fic, and for a while, I was "Ayla Lupin" on ff.n and Werewolf Registry. (A site I miss, by the way - whatever happened to it?! I call for a revival!) Anyway, looking back, it was so fangirly and embarassing, yet I have to laugh, because it was also kinda cute.
8. MSTK3000, Harry Potter version. Another fic site I miss, although the fics weren't that good. Anyone know what happened to that one as well?
9. The excitement over OoTP, the theories... Hagrid was going to die, and Sirius wouldn't because "JKR isn't that evil!" (Heh, sadly, she is.)
10. Finding the Quill and my friends there. :D Talking to one of them now, actually! (Of course, I've sort of gone distracted on her... sorry, Whispers - here is your very public apology!)
11. Songfics. There were some really good ones.
12. The post-CoS excitement. Anyone else remember the "OMG Lucius started to kill Harry!" stuff? I think it was one of the first things I said about the movie, along with "bloody hell."
Man... I'm a bit sad now, but happy too. Maybe fandom isn't such a waste after all.

4. Werewolf Registry, my psuedo-academia and overall snottiness. Oops? =) Fortunately, there were unbelievable, wonderful people there, some of whom I still know and love.
5. Getting reviews from Al and I believe from Rhysenn, too, at that time my fandom idols. Made my whole year, that.
6. Branching out into other fandoms, getting semi-famous in Pirates of the Caribbean mostly because I was an insanely early contributor and therefore more or less helped set the canon for a whole ship.
7. First Minerva McTabby Summary Execution. They're still going strong, and still as hilarious as ever.
8. The pre-book-five "closing canon!" angst. It overtook fandom communities like nightfall, but fortunately we seem to have adapted--or at least, we had until the pre-book-six angst. =)
9. Meeting you, of course!

Actually, wait, wasn't that how we met? Hm...

You were not snooty. Smart, and put me to shame sometimes, but not snooty.
9. Meeting you, of course!
Aw, thanks - likewise!
