What's in a name?

Many of you have already heard this story, but here we go again. Back when I was in High School, I had a routine: go home, read/snack, do homework, then go online. 

So at five, it was already nighttime, as it was winter. I'd work partly on a story I was writing for class (which was, incidentally, a fanfic - a story based on To Kill A Mockingbird. Wish I still had it). Well, around the same time, I joined <strike>the pit of voles</strike> fanfiction.net.

Since I was writing at night, and I love the term "___ by night," I decided to call myself...

Author By Night. ;)

Here, I'm author_by_night because I didn't want to mess up the capitlization, even though it already is messed up on SQ (I have "Author by Night".)I also wanted spaces. So, yes.

Hmm, i picked that back in 8th grade and never changed it since it's "mine". I got it out of a Melanie Rawn book and copied it from a girl named Feylin who watches dragons. I picked 17 because I wanted an AOL IM name and just Feylin and Feylin7 were taken. You can find me just about anywhere on the internets under either Feylin or Feylin17. :)

I would love to know your idea for To Kill a Mockingbird. Was it about one of the kids (the original trio - Scout, Jem, and Dill) or Atticus? Such a rich world to play in.

Oh, what a neat idea. Scout is a great character and it would fun to find out more about her life post-Bob Ewell.

Actually, it was her diary during the book, so her thoughts. I also wrote a scene with Atticus and Jem, a monologue, and we had to write an ending.

COme to think of it, that's three fanfic type pieces. Makes me wonder if my teacher wasn't into fanfiction! ;)
