Because Ron is a book character (gasp), I can't exactly give him a real present, can I?

So instead, he gets a few drabbles. This is drabble #1; I'll write more as inspiration comes throughout the day. (That, and I have class soon, so I'm running out of time).

Drabble Drabble Drabble Cut

Title: Rebirth

Rating: G

Characters: The Weasleys

Ships: Established Molly/Arthur.

Summary: Right after Molly loses two brothers, she goes into labor.

Date: 1980

The labor was bittersweet, and not just because of the normal labor pains.

Molly was very eager for her daughter to be born (for she was sure it was a girl). However, she had recently lost the last of her brothers, Gideon and Fabian. They had died a week before.

Their deaths had been, to say the least, tragic. It had taken five Death Eaters to kill both of them - two to kill Gideon, three to kill Fabian.

Gideon had been hit with an inner severing charm, which caused his body to literally start wasting away. A moment later, Fabian was hit by the Killing Curse.

The ironic thing was, Gideon had a chance to live. His bones were being mended, and he had been concious.

Until Molly had admitted Fabian was dead.

Molly let out a scream as the baby pushed it's way, trying to breathe, and to stop thinking about the deaths of her brothers.

The Midwife took the baby, and Molly exhaled.

"It's a boy," the Midwife announced.

Molly took her son, and stared at his face.

Then, slowly, she smiled.

Gideon and Fabian were alive in him.
