[personal profile] author_by_night

I've been reading anonymous comments on that fandom_wish meme, and honestly? I feel like there's a lot of you who feel ignored.

So, I've started my own thing: a list of people on my flist, and in fandom in general, that I truly appreciate. If I use your LJ name instead, don't be offended  - I use whatever name  I know people as the most. And if you aren't there... I'm sorry, but I honestly don't know everyone in fandom (even flisters) well enough to say something that's actually personal,, and/or don't have anything to say, and I don't want to be fake. Plus, it's possible I just forgot to mention you (though in that case, I'll make a comment and  an apology). If you don't know me, but got mentioned,  it's because I think.. w ell, read what I had to say. ;)

I'm going to do this on my other LJ too, for people in smaller fandoms and/or just on my flist. :) (I love you guys too, but not enough of you read this LJ!)

Last note: This is most definitely in alphabetical  order.

Okay, that wasn't the last note. The real last note: Feel  free to appreciate other people in the comments.

Abbers: You have a  good sense of humor, as well as a serious side that knows what matters. You're mature beyond your years. (You are.)

Abigail_isa: I miss seeing your LJ posts;  they were always interesting. I hope you're doing well.

Ada Kensington: It's nice to see SQ betas who are so into it that they complain that they don't have enough beta-ee's!

Airri: I love your quirky LJ entries!  :D

Akashasheiress: I love the name  "Akasha." And  I love the avatars you pick.

a_white_rain: We  may disagree on some things, but I do think your entries are very interesting and  well thought out.

Amberdiceless: I miss your LJ entries. I hope you're okay. I  like your RPG observations.  :)

Amberdulen: Your "start a rumor" entries are quite amusing.

Ameena: I miss your writing, but I understand how muses are. And I think it's great that you're trying to be so involved in the community - probably healthier too.

Anne Zwarts: How the heck can you stand studying Moss? Well, however you do it, it's very cool that you can. (Yes, cool. Really. It's no worse than being obsessed with Werewolves who don't exist).

Annie_Jaye: It's neat that you sometimes have so many different subjects in one LJ entry. I wish we spoke more, too, you seem like a  cool person.

Agi Vega: I think your art is awesome, and I'm sorry you got so much wank on the Quill. Reviewers can be horrible, and I'm glad you haven't let them stop you from posting at other sites. (I do see why you left the Quill - that's not giving in, that's avoiding excessive harassment).

Arayudaiel: You were one  of the first Quillers I met, and I'm glad. I do wish you'd stop getting Hurricanes though, at this rate you're going to give us all ulcers! ;)

Ariana Black:  I don't think I've ever mentioned how sweet I think it is that you are so close with your brothers, especially Travis  (who seems sort of like a sixteen year old male version of you).

Artistic Julie: You're a  great artist. Also, thank you for helping with The Site That Didn't Live.

Ashavah: I still read your Mary Sue essay time to time. Seriously? It's very cool. I think it was one of the things that made me such an OC defender.

Ashtur: You're Hufflepuff's man, through and through.

Barbara the Wallpaper: "My window is wide open/to the sultry summer air..." Your songs are truly touching, and I really think you should write a musical someday. Heck, even ask JKR/WB for the rights!

Bisforbecky: Being a  chorus geek, I've known a  lot of  people with good singing voices. But I haven't known a lot of people with singing voices that make me think they could very well end up Somewhere.  :D (Nope, not just saying that).

Bribitribbit: You have one of the most confuzzling names in fandom. But that's sort of amusing,  and says a lot about you.

Brielle: I don't talk to you as much as I'd like, but your  LJ is fun to read, and you seem like someone I'll like getting to know better when the time comes.

Cap'n Kathy: You're truly a great beta reader. You catch things people normally miss, but that's a good thing - it helps your beta-ee's become better writers.

cats_are_snakes: Screenname. Love. 'nuff said.

Cendrillon: I miss talking; I love your theories.

Clarimonde: Sure, you've stalked me in two fandoms (more so Harry Potter now,  but once an ecfanser, always an ecfanser), but I'm not scared of you. ;) I love your entries  - and your Dean/Ginny analysis was so plausible.

Cleolinda: Your m15m's are hilarious, and I'm currently trying to see how to get the book (as I don't live in Britain).

Cloudlessnights: I love, love, love your Sims pictures. (The Marauders ones are priceless).

Coquillament: That LJ post you made about friendships was very sentimental, and very true.

Darker Rage: You're a great beta, you know that, right?

Delleve: One of my first SQ friends; I still think it's so cool that you got a mention on JKR's site. Go you!  You're also a really sweet person, who seems eerily like me.

Dernhelm: You make great icons, and have a great sense of humor.

DennyB: I'm sorry we don't talk a lot anymore; you really are a sweet person. (And thanks for proving that Hermione has, in fact, worn pink!)

DMP: Your journals from Russia are so fascinating to read. I want to go to Russia now!

Donnaimmaculata: I wish we spoke more; your Grawp-is-a-Stu entry was love. I have to look for it and re-read.

Dreemcy: We don't talk a whole lot, but I admire your support of Port Dahlousie.  It breaks my heart that people seem to miss the charm of a  place that survived industrialization. I guess it was bound to happen, though - it is still near GM towns, and GM towns are GM towns. (For the uninformed - GM towns refers to General  Motors. Basically means, the town is all about industry type stuff).

Ella_W: You're a Hermione, minus the scarier tendencies. I honestly wish I'd been more like that in HS (and was  now). I'd have loved to have had a 4.0 GPA.  (I sometimes came close, but math and science almost always pulled me down, plus the fact that I wasn't willing to put in the extra time. I regret that now, really).

Elsha: I adore Anne/Theo. I hope you write more with them someday.

Emzlebub: I'm still getting to know you. I did love that Percy fic!

Fern  Withy: I love your version of Sirius's family. I also loved Elizabeth  - darn it, Fenrir. ;) Your entries are always fun to read - even when it's Star  Wars, which I know next to nothing about. (I still get Princess Leia and Princess Amidala confused, and I know I misspelled  "Amidala").

Feylin17: Lois is the most amusing tortoise I have ever read about.

Fionaphoenix: I like how you handled The Situation. No wanking or anything; yes, a little venting, but that I can deal with. And  I'm sorry work is so hard on you  - you deserve better.

Frankie B: You rock for dealing with all that you do.

Ghostlygrove: You make me  laugh, and  although you sometimes ask the hardest questions, it shows that you're interested in... life. :D

Gileonnen: You know what matters. And you care about those who care.

Ginnyhaha: Remember that (now admittedly crapastic) Georgia/Harry Potter crossover we did? I still laugh when  I think about it.

Godrics_h: Kudos to you for laughing at those weird reviews, rather than being offended. People are odd, what can  I  say?

Grace Has Victory: You have some very interesting theories, and that essay on orgins and such of characters was obviously thoroughly researched. Well done!

I Dislike  Penguins: Your fanart is really good, and although you don't purposely attract reviews from the Penguin Lover's Committee, it's always funny to read.

Jetamors: Honestly? Having a whole rec website for genfics is cool. It really is.

JiminyC: I loved that fic, where Remus meets that muggle Werewolf. A really original idea.

Okay... I'll be posting K-Z in a  bit! (And will edit to link).

*Huggles* Oh my dear, I'm quite all right, and I'm sorry I've been so quiet lately! *Huggles some more!* It's just that I seem to have jumped fandoms (temporarily, I hope) and I don't want to bore my HP friends with a lot of Good Omens mumbo-jumbo...

If you'd care to see what I've been up to, though, I'm playing John at Imageneutral_omens (http://www.livejournal.com/community/neutral_omens) and hanging around at the associated community Imagemad_prophets (http://www.livejournal.com/community/mad_prophets).
