From the point of view of a passing interest Harry Potter fan, I think she is great. I read The Order of the Phoenix and was impressed with her incorporation of Greek terms for the incantations. She did her homework. The diction and syntax is more on the simple side, but for a young adult novel, its perfect. She's a great story teller with clear scene descriptions and relateable characters. What more do people want?
