It's so weird to think that PoA came out SIX YEARS before the Dr Who reboot, really. I mean, HBP was published that same year.
Speaking of Dr Who, I want a TARDIS to go back to 1999... or rather, 2000, as that was the summer when I first read HP, and I can't remember anything of my PoA reactions! Just that I read it in 4 hours (which probably explains why I can't remember anything of it - I just read it too quickly to let it sink in). I don't even know if I was surprised by the Remus revelation or not. Probably not, in hindsight, cause he was named Remus and all.
