A bit less "aww"-inspiring is Sirius's suggestion that they kill him together; Remus thinks this sounds like a splendid idea.
I've always wondered about that. I wouldn't go so far as to call it OOC, but it did seem very sudden and weird to me. Like she just decided she needed to wrap up the scene because it was stretching credulity enough to have the moon rising so late at night, no need to make it go any longer.
