I felt SO sorry for Neville! At that age I was constantly forgetting my locker combination. I think I had to have four locks cut off by maintenance in one year? Which made my mother mad at me, teachers mad at me, the maintenance guy was laughing his butt off, which when I was 13 wasn't preferable. I just want to hug poor little Neville. I NEVER would have sent him a howler. :(
And I felt sorry for him when Harry was totally blowing him off, too. Harry should have invited him along, especially after Neville admitted to being the one with the passwords written down. A true Gryffindor!
I guessed that Snape was in love with Lily pretty early on although I don't remember exactly when . . . Snape is still a jerk to Harry, since whatever was in the past is not Harry's fault.
Remus' scolding of Harry is far more effective than Snape's anyway. I wish Remus had spent the evening staring at the map . . . he might have seen Peter on it then . . . I also think he should have told Harry who made the map. If Sirius really was the killer they thought, it would have been protecting Harry to tell him.
