I've kept gratitude journals in the past - private paper journals - and I found them helpful, but I was also a bit worried that something public on FB would become more what I wanted others to read than what I needed to write.
Honestly, I've gotten that impression from some of my friends who've done it, especially the ones who ALWAYS only post about how amazing and perfect their life is. It's sad in a way, annoying in another - I'm not always sure which I should be! That's a large part of why I wrote this.
And yeah, it IS helpful to keep journals and the like. It's just not always necessary to broadcast it. I should start more privately journaling again... I did a bit of it in my teens, although of course reading them is hilarity.
