Ha! You too? My dad was GUSHING over this series. I would come over and he'd have random episodes recorded on the DVR and show them to me cold and enthuse about how brilliant every aspect of the entire episode was and how this series was the most amazing TV series written in the last 5 or so years.
However, he was a DR Who fan, though an Old school one, but never, I'd say a very active one. He was telling me one of the main reasons he had it on VHS was when apartment neighbors would play annoying music at loud volumes, he'd return the favor by playing the DR. Who theme at loud volumes.
The only thing is that I wish now more than ever that I hadn't seen Children of Earth (series three or four) first.

I've been told no matter how badly I want to see more Torchwood and how tempting it is, never to watch this, that it ruins the entire series and I'm better off never ever seeing it.
And this was from someone who wasn't any kind of shipper or anything like that, but just their critical film opinion of the quality of that mini.
