Found this post via the Daily Snitch, and I may be a little biased here -- the first fic was written for me -- but I'm reccing thinkatory's modern American (USian) Cursebreakers series (http://thinkatory.livejournal.com/tag/cursebreakers). It's all OCs and there seems to be UST building up, but it's mostly gen. (I am also assured by the author that more is coming and there is a general plot arc taking shape.)
