I was so deep in the Whedon/Angel/Buffy comms at that time I just had flashbacks.

I always thought that perhaps you were. :)

I have to admit I loved Wes' evolution. He was such a bad ass after awhile I'd start panting whenever he came on screen.

I love that he's changing as a character, but not in a way that's inconsistent. I almost feel like in some ways, he fell back a bit - Wesley of Buffy season three made, or tried to make, a lot of decisions that were pretty bad too. Faith's story might have been different had Wesley not sent the Watcher's Council after her behind everyone's backs. And at one point, he suggested letting Willow die so they wouldn't have to give up what they'd stolen from the Mayor. I think Wesley was grounded after joining AI, but as soon as he was scared for Connor, he slipped back, and then he slipped even further. It's actually very tragic.

Joss will break your heart into fifty thousand pieces.

Hee - that's what I'm afraid of!
