As for doing everything alone... I have a roommate! Seriously, does that not occur to people? We order pizza together, and go to movies together, and have gone on vacation together. There are ways to have a social circle without the whole "relationship" thing.
Lonely? Sometimes. So what? I'm only as lonely as I allow myself to be. As you said, I have everything that I need and quite a bit of what I want. There can be no better definition of happiness.
