By the way, this irrelevant now that you've written the story, but since in the epilogue Teddy is saying goodbye to Victoire, I assumed she was still 17, and if Victoire's birthday was on the day of the Battle of Hogwarts then she'd have to be born on 2000 to still be going to Hogwarts at 2017. Small and irrelevant detail.

Plus, I already had given Victoire a late birthday, in October, but she was conceived soon after the war - so it does ignore that part of canon, yes. Sorry for the confusion... but I was confused by JKR's explanation as well.
“bludger short of a Quidditch match” -- This I don't get. I know it's supposed to be a substitution to another popular English saying but so far I can't come up with anything.
