kelleypen, lyras, gileonnenand steampenread over the past few years, but despite revisions I never reposted for various reasons. I've decided if I don't, I never will. It was originally meant to be a gift for vegablack62, so if you're reading this, wherever you are... this WIP's for you.
I realize there's probably a few Americanisms, and several 2012isms. That's why I'm posting it as well - I want honest feedback. Even if you're not on my flist. (Not sure how revision will work yet.)

Summary: Every story starts somewhere. There was one point at which the wheels began turning, a moment when everything changed.
