Oct. 23rd, 2005 11:18 amI noticed I hadn't gotten any reviews for my fic yet (others have). But whatever, I'm not annoyed or anything, just, hmm, hope I get some soon! ;) Granted, its not really the type most fandom people want to read. (Pro-OC).
I saw an LJ entry on the trio today - it was pretty interesting, though I disagree with their H/Hr/R ship. But as it goes...
Five things I think would help me read more trio-centric fic:
1. Hagrid. People, whether you like or dislike him, he's central to the trio. Granted, HBP didn't leave me feeling he's what he used to be, but he's still important. If he's too hard to write dialogue for, at least have him be mentioned.
2. Fewer inner-trio love triangles. The trio are not going to betray one another like that.
3. Fewer evil!any of them. JKR's made it clear that they are supposed to work together by making their wands speak for themselves.
4. Fewer sonnet-writer!Harry/Ron/Hermione. They gag at that sort of thing, not smile.
5. Advicegiving!Hermione. She's not a cartoon nice-but-smart girl. Hermione's heart is in the right place, but there's times when I don't blame Harry and Ron for headdesking in her presence.
And that is my speech of the morning. ;)
