Yup, that's me... well, kinda. When I was really really little, I was social, but I got more quiet as I reached my pre-pre teens. (Nineish). I'd talk to adults, but had fewer close friends. I think moving so much partly contributed - I just kind of learned that everyone had already been friends, so I stopped trying somewhere along the line. (Does that make me sound messed up?) In Belgium, at least, most kids were new at some point or another, since I lived in one of those towns where every other person is from somewhere on the other side of the world. But even then... four of my friends went to other schools after a few years, and two of them were my best friends. After that, I kinda got even more quiet, because I no longer really had anyone to play with at school.

Now that I think of it, I didn't have any close friends (well, besides one that was a typical on and off friend) who went to my school until ninth grade. That's a little depressing, but although sometimes I minded, I was quite happy to write and read and play by myself (the latter being when I was younger).
