Wow, It feels so cool, making a meme! (At least, I think I made this up - if anyone has done this before, sorry). You know that "name that song" meme that's going on? Well, this is my new one - name that fic. Basically, use lines from fics you've read, and have people guess which fics they were.

And I will start! Drumroll, please! I used some fics friends wrote, and some fics I found myself. Some are both. :) I just wanted a fair variety.

1. He found his friend sitting, typically enough, under a notice board with a battered “Have you seen this wizard?”-poster.

2. And considering what she'd done to his life, she had never had a right to the joy she'd taken in him. He was not her child; he was her victim.

3. I don’t know what I’m supposed to do when I see him. Hug him? Cry on him? Tell him it isn’t his fault? He won’t have any of it; I know him. It’s going to be quiet, quiet, quiet, unbearably quiet.

4. Sometimes, my mind will travel back to those happy days at Hogwarts and I’ll long for them to return with an intense passion that even frightens myself.  The memories of a better time will pull at my mind, haunting me with ghosts of the past.

5. It seems like Dumbledore believes it's okay to break rules, or even laws, when it's for a good purpose; it's just not okay to get caught. Or is that right?

6. "What we can, James." Lily said, sniffling. " Let him know we're here."

7. It was night. Night fell quickly, here, ushered in by Dementors and the sadistic guards. And it was Sunday night. Night was the worst time for a new prisoner.

Decided to make a list of fandom opinions I have that I think are rather different from a lot of people's. *Shrugs* Feel free to do the same if you want; its based on the canon opinions meme that was going around. And you can disagree as well, though this is not meant to start a heavy debate.

1. I think the entire OC hate thing is dumb; If someone wants to write about a girl who is part LOTR-type Elf? Fine with me; I know someone who has written about a girl who is something like that, and it's bloody brilliant. Want to give an OC violet eyes? More power to you. An OC had a hard life? That makes the fic even more realistic. 

2.  I don't mind people who write pairings I don't think will happen in canon, as I write some of them, though I do mind it when people get mad that JKR won't write them.

3.  I actually consider Hagrid a favorite character, sort of understand why Cho did what she did, and feel sorry for Dumbledore.

4.  I think songfics can be brilliant.

5. I think the content of a fanfic is more important than grade-A spelling and grammar.

Sorry, just needed to let that out. :) I have nothing agianst those of you who disagree, though - those are just opinions I wanted to share.

I'm reading the list of updated fanfics; one of them is "Promises Defended", which I am reading.

The sad thing? Even though I knew what the fic's title was, being a reader of it... I read "Promises Defriended."

I really need a life.
