ooh! ooh! Can I ask two?

1) hogwarts house analysis
2) religious songs

1. I like to analyze the Hogwarts Houses, and read essays on the Houses. I just think there's so much more to them than the Sorting Hat Songs, stereotypes, and assumptions. It's interesting to speculate.

2. Religious songs... I just like the way they often sound, and the feeling one gets when hearing them. (This can be any song of any religion, by the way - I love religion and spirituality, period.)

To Kill a Mockinbird?

That's a book by Harper Lee, about racism in the 1930's, as well as the loss of innocence. I love that book, and have re-read it several times.

Oh, lol, I know what the book is about ... What I was wondering is what you like about it. When I first read it I completely identified myself with Scout's character (precocious reader, ungirly as they come) and I nagged my mother for years (I must have been around 9 at the time) to buy me an overall ... which she never did, sadly :(

Aw. Well, I just like TKAM because I always get something out of it, and because it's inspiring. Plus, it has terrific characters and great symbolism that's there, but not balatant.

I'd like to hear what you think about Hufflepuff. *points to icon* It's the house that I'm absolutely certain I'd be sorted into, if I had the chance to go to Hogwarts.

I like them because there's probably so much more to them than we see in the books. And they seem interesting, judging from OoTP - wouldn't call them pushovers! I wanted more of them in HBP, dangit. They seem like they are hard working and willing, and loyal.

obhwf ?

And, if you don't mind, how did you link all your interests there? I'd like to do this one.

OBHWF = One Big Happy Weasley Family, a Harry Potter fandom thing referring to a family called the Weasleys. The premise is that they will be paired with some of the important characters... hence, happy Weasley family! ;)

I just copied and pasted.

Ah, ok. Thanks! lol The Weasleys deserve to be happy. :P

Copied and pasted, ok. I didn't think it would have put all the links there. Thanks again!

No problem - I'm sure a lot of people are confused by some of my interests!

Sirius/Kingsley?

*icon love*

[identity profile] author-by-night.livejournal.com 2006-11-11 12:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Sirius/Kingsley is a ship I feel really needs to be written, and not just for smut purposes. I don't think for half a minute that it's canon, and I think it'd be hard to make plausible in fanon, but with the right details and amount of thought, it could actually be quite interesting.

Glad you like my icon - I love yours. It's great.

Thanks.

Thinking about it, I could definitely see it... Not canon-ified, but it would make for some good fics!

Seeing as I just finished reading the book and loved it... The Lovely Bones?
