The problem with being in three fandoms is that two of them are small, and one of them is huge, so I tend to talk more about one, and forget that it'll be confusing for those not in it.

And then there's the fact that I have a "ficverse" that confuses people.

First, I'm going to make a fandom filter for: Earth's Children, Harry Potter, and Wicked. Let me know which ones you'd like to be under. (As far as Wicked is concerned, both the musical and the book apply).

But I'll also do a glossary, for times where I have multi-fandom musings, or when I would like something I wrote to be seen by people not on my flist. Or when I ramble about fic characters nobody knows about. I'll do one for real life stuff later.
So...

Fandoms:

Earth's Children.
Earth's Children is a book series that takes place in the Ice Age, and starts with Clan of the Cave Bear. The first book introduces Ayla, then a <s>Mary Sue</s> five year old child whose parents die in an earthquake. She is found by the Clan of the Cave Bear - known to us as "Neanderthals."

Characters I have probably mentioned, and will likely mention again: Ayla, Jondalar, Durc, Iza, Creb, Uba, Ranec, Jonayla, Marthona, Zelandoni/Zolena, Broud.

My ships: None besides the established ships, although Jondalar annoys me a little.

My ficverse stuff: In my mind, Ayla's "people" were all nomads, or from smaller tribes. Her mother had Sungaea in her, and her father was really, really ancient Egyptian. Both parents came from famillies that were strictly nomadic.

Jonayla's not quite as beautiful as her parents lookwise, but she has mannerisms and such that appeal to people, somehow. She has a bit of Jondalar's temper, though not as harsh, and her mother's Healing skills.

Durc and Jonayla never meet, but Jonayla is very proud of her Clan heritage (even though she's not Clan by blood, she likes to think she is, somehow). Durc somehow feels his mother is alive, but believes the Clan "death curse" still works - he simply does not believe Ayla could have hugged him and still been a spirit, so he figures something "went wrong" by an odd chance. (I haven't worked out what exactly became of the Clan, jsut that Broud wasn't leader long).

Harry Potter.
I think most people know the basics of Harry Potter, but just in case, the books chronicle a boy wizard's teen years as, well, a wizard, during the beginnings of a second war, and then the second war.

Characters I have probably mentioned, and will likely mention again: Harry, Ron, Hermione, Remus, Tonks, Hagrid, Dumbledore, Snape, Sirius, and... oh, just about everyone.

My ships: Established pairings, as well as Daphne Greengrass/Theodore Nott, Remus/Tonks (I know it's establshed, but I really like the ship), and others when I feel like it.

My ficverse stuff:

Remus has a sister, Artemis, who is twelve years younger than him - the same age as Tonks. Artemis and Tonks met when they were flower girls at James and Lily's wedding, and were instant friends.

Artemis, Charlie, Bill and Tonks were close friends at Hogwarts. Bill and Charlie drifted a bit from each other and Artemis and Tonks post-Hogwarts, though Charlie and Artemis both work with magical creatures (Charlie with dragons, since that's canon, Artemis more with whatever creature she's assigned, though she's had prolonged projects), they went to one another for advice. The four more or less reunite after OoTP, but Bill is never as close to any of them, although Fleur, Bill, Remus and Tonks do a lot of "couple things" together, and Bill and Remus are somewhat close.

Remus and Tonks have two daughters, Iris and Rhea. Bill and Fleur have a son and a daughter, Fabian and a girl who's name I have yet to figure out. The Lupin and Weasley kids are very close.

Andromeda Tonks - Andromeda Black then - actually almost did to Ted what Remus did to her daughter. She insisted that their relationship was "asking for trouble", that dating/marrying Ted made him a target. She also had misgivings about leaving her family, as much as she disliked them. In the end, she realized she was actually happy with Ted, and not so happy with her family (except for Sirius), so that's who she chose.

Sirius and Andromeda always had a rocky relationship; they'd be best friends one day, and not speaking the next. Sirius would play with younger Tonks, but she never really knew the "real" him - he showed his inner Marauder with her, but not the darker side Andromeda so often saw. (Tonks did, however, always see Andromeda's darker side).

During OoTP, there was extra tension, because Sirius could not believe Andromeda had thought he'd been insane (albeit not evil - Andromeda could never bear to beleive that). Andromeda resented the fact that it was okay for Remus to believe, but not her, somehow.  Tonks took Sirius's side, which made things worse.

Wicked. Wicked is complicated - there's the book, and then there's the musical on which the book was based. The book is an adult take on the Wizard of Oz, and shows an alternative viewpoint - that of Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West.

The musical is more family friendly, and there are some twists that make it completely seperate from the book.

The characters I probably have mentioned, and will mention again: Elphaba, Glinda, Fiyero, The Wizard, Madame Morrible.
