So I was reading through old comments, and I wanted to mention that at the time I commented, I had a COMPLETELY different idea of what purity culture means. I thought it referred to Evangelical Christianity. Now I'm better versed in tumblr fandom, so I get it now. Still agree with you, but it makes way more sense than the Duggar family discovering fandom and taking over... which was my perception before.
