I agree with you totally on the fanfiction thing. I found a notebook the other day in which there was actually Harry Potter fanfiction - written by me aged eight - which took place before PoA. It wasn't any good, of course, but it made me laugh.
And in that case, my first fanfiction was Animals of Farthing Wood :P
