Winter Season Challenge
Nov. 21st, 2005 10:30 pmExcuse the corny cut title.
Anyway, I have a holiday challenge that runs from today until December 31st. No, I'm not just being PC; I mean as in, any holiday, since there's so many that go on between now and New Years.
The object is to write a Harry Potter "something" (drabble, songfilk, novel length work) based on a song, story, or the holiday itself.
Some examples (that you're welcome to use):
- A witch in Plymouth, Massachuesetts, for the first Thanksgiving.
- A songfic turning "Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer" into "Severus, the Halfblood DE."
- A Jewish student starting a Chanukah celebration.
- Lily and James's last New Years party.
Guidelines:
- If it isn't based on a song or a story, it must still relate to the holiday of your choice, or the winter season.
- If you write it, email me so I can post the link. I'll start posting when the first two people have done it. My email is azaelia04 AT yahoo DOT com.
- It can be in any form; drabble (less than two pages), one shot (no chapters), filk/parody, anything.
Any questions? Let me know!
I used Severus the half-blood DE...
Date: 2005-11-22 06:25 pm (UTC)Had very greasy locks
And along with that unsightly aspect
His nose looked like a hawk’s
And all the other DE’s
Distrusted him and called him unfaithful
For instead of going to Azkaban,
Severus went to Hogwarts.
Then one sad dear day at Hogwarts
Draco couldn’t kill old Dumbledore
Severus swept him aside and said,
“Avada Kadavra”
As Dumbledore fell so silently,
The DE’s watched with awe.
Severus, they said gleefully,
You’ll go down in history!
