LJ has likes now
I forsee a future where we only "like" things IRL, too. After all... if "likes" have hit the blogosphere, what else can we expect?
Below is a demonstration of what we might expect. With apologies to robots.
Zoe: Hey, Angelica.
Angelica: Smile.
Zoe: ... right. So, I have a problem. I think Steven is going to propose.
Angelica: Like.
Zoe: Well, no. I'm not sure I want to marry him.
Angelica: Like.
Zoe: Angie, this is serious. I think I'm in love with his brother.
Angelica: Wow.
Zoe: I mean, I haven't ever acted on it - okay, that's not true. We kissed once.
Angelica: Like.
Zoe: But I told him it could never happen. He's engaged now, right?
Angelica: Sad face.
Zoe: Well, happy face, because I saved my relationship with Steven. I think. I don't know. How can I marry him when I feel so torn?
Angelica: Sad face.
Zoe: ... maybe I should just fake my own abduction and start over in New Mexico.
Angelica: Like.
Zoe: And then I can rename myself Bonnie and hang out with a guy named Clyde.
Angelica: Like.
Zoe: ... and then we can fight off zombies in the next Zombie Apocalypse?
Angelica: Wow.
Zoe: Oh my god! I just got a text message saying the sun and the earth are dangerously close! It's like The Day After Tomorrow, except with heat, not cold!
Angelica: Angry face.
Zoe: Are you a robot?
Angelica: #notallrobots
