I am a R/Hr shipper,  to some effect. I don't make a point to read or write it, but I am pretty sure it is canon.

However... I don't think I really want it to happen until either after book seven (as in, the epilogue), or at all - strong hints, but nothing more.

I can't really explain why... I'm just not sure I think the books would be able to fit in the romance. Hermione and Ron are going to be concentrating on helping Harry with the war - I doubt they'll have time to worry about going steady. Maybe a flirtatious conversation here and there, but that's it.

Just some thoughts. ^^

I am a canon purist. :) Match with my beliefs, yours do. :)

I wouldn't mind some Ron and Hermione romance... :)

But I have a feeling the scenario you described is probably what's going to happen. For one thing, the books are mostly written in Harry's point of view, and I can't see Harry noticing (and describing) a whole lot of romance between Ron and Hermione. And I think if JKR really wanted to write romance, she would have done more of it before now.

What I really want to see is some Remus romance... but I'll settle for Remus NOT DYING.

I think we'll get glimpses of romance, but not a whole lot more, from Harry's perspective -- but I can't imagine that she'll wait until the epilogue to get them together. People don't put their love lives on hold just because there's a war on. Quite the reverse, actually -- they tend to get together in record numbers, because they don't know if they're going to live long enough to make waiting worthwhile.

Oh, I know, but will JKR have room to fit that all in? Plus, Hermione'll get involved with trying to find solutions - we all knwo how she is.

Hmm...maybe you just think that it will make things even more complicated. As much as I love it and would love to see it in canon, I have a feeling that if I did I would feel a bit sorry for Harry, because it would undoubetedly be a bit awkward...and seeing as it's HIS POV, it may become rocky.

I actually agree with you. I think that their love lives would fare better if they had time apart as adults to explore other relationships (especially Ron) with other people and then get with one another.

However, a refreshing of the UST (made more comfortable, mind) would be lovely. Oh, how I miss the bickering. Well, they're 16 in the next book. Surely we'll have and innuendo or 7. ;P One can hope, after all.
