LJ is first doing a purge of suspended/deleted accounts, but then will be moving on to inactive journals/communities. This could potentially affect rp journals and communities (I can think of a couple of big ones in the HP fandom, at least) as well as deceased lj-ers as well as those who simply left LJ more than 24 months ago.

After much complaining, they changed (http://news.livejournal.com/127507.html?page=11&view=85288723#comments) the definition of inactive accounts. :)

I wonder how I can find out if my communities are on the list to be purged? I read the main post you linked to, but they didn't mention it. And I don't have time to go trough all those comments, though surely someone else as already asked them....
