A question for you guys

You can either respond to this in the comments or in your own post.

What was a ship you used to love, but now have less or even no enthusiasm for? And why?

Remus/Tonks, stupidly enough. But I think that's mainly becaus TDH ruined Remus for me and I got so ambivalent towards him that it affected the ship as well.

I'd comment, but I think it's best I not get started. You know I agree (sort of - less on Remus being ruined and more on R/T being ruined), and so does pretty much everyone else on my flist who has read Harry Potter. :P

I actually like Neville/Luna a bit more than I did when it first surfaced, but I still can't buy into it. It might have been cute though.

Harry/Draco = I'm possibly one of the few people that started fandom in H/D and moved onto H/G and Draco/Asteria rather than vice-versa.

Huh, interesting.

Many, many years ago I used to read Snape/Lupin. I'm not sure why I stopped, but a lot of it was OOC schmoopfests, and I preferred snarkier, angstier versions, so that was probably it.

Believe it or not, I used to be fairly ambivalent toward H/G before HBP completely turned me off from the pairing.

I never read Snupin but it always struck me as the sort of ship that could either be written really well or really terribly.

book harry ginny I still ship, but movie harry ginny? ick

The only thing that really bothered me in the movie was Ginny tying Harry's shoelaces. Also, I don't really read H/G in fanfic, when oddly it used to be the other way around - I didn't ship them in canon, but I liked them in fanfiction.

Jayne and Kaylee from Firefly. I dunno... I just kind of moved on from the fandom. I still love the show, but haven't read or cared about the fanfic in years. I still'root' for them, but from far away.

Veronica/Logan from Veronica Mars kind of died out for me,with the discovery of another Veronica ship
and Ginny/Harry from HP. I still like their ship but the thought of them being together on screen doesn't make me as exited as when I was looking forward to them in the books.

And Shawn and Juliet from this show Psych, I don't ship it as strongly now.

Chuck/Sarah from Chuck. I think I liked the UST between them back in season 1 and 2 but then season 3 came along and yeah. I like them but I just don't love them together anymore.

Not counting ships that sink, or sank, or that have sunk:
There was a time, after I came to accept the inevitability that was Harry/Ginny, that I found Harry/Ginny to be adorable and enjoyable. Then, sometime after book seven, I realized that I had never been really satisfied with Harry/Ginny. Now I think I'd appreciate really good Harry/Luna or Ginny/Draco fic.

Dammit I still think Eriol and Tomoyo (from Card Captor Sakura) would have made a great couple if it weren't for the fact that Tomoyo is in love with her (female) cousin, and Eriol is in love with his teacher. Or something. If you ignore canon, that ship is adorable.

... and I just realized that I have an OT3 in Touya, Yukito, and Nakuru from that same series. They would be ''great.''
