Why do you think she is singling out lust? She offers both choices in her poll? Just curious.

Well, lust is only one facet of love; there's parental love, brotherly love, platonic love, impersonal love, religious love, and romantic love that might not be considered "lust". But only lust is represented on its own. The apparent bias in the question makes me assume that the goal was to show (or induce the idea) that lust makes people do silly things, and non-lust loves don't. Based on the results, nobody thinks so!

I don't think she wanted to separate that many different choices out for a short poll.

And perhaps she hadn't thought enough about love to separate them out in such detail, or she hadn't thought the different types were really different. Perhaps she thought that parental love and romantic love are at the base love and therefore the same.

I really just meant romantic love. ;) And to be honest, I hadn't thought it out that much. That said, you do have a point.
