^____^

I went to the store
On this November day
What did I ever find
But a group so gay *

They were gathered round
Singing a song I knew
But it was way too early
For it to be true - oh!

Not Christmas
Not Christmas
Not Christmas time yet
Turkey's not in the oven
Nor is the table set - oh!

Not Christmas
Not Christmas
Not Christmas time yet
Turkey's not in the oven
Nor is the table set - oh!

This song is dedicated to the wonders of the marketing world. And okay, the part of me and the part of everyone who is already getting holiday related songs in their heads. Oh, and the music belongs to... some bloke or another. Anyhow, not mine.

* Before I offend anyone - gay as in happy, not gay as in the sexual orientation.

I did EVERYTHING today except put up the tree and address the cards. I hope to get the cards done tomorrow. I need to purchase a new tree.

BUT

I am doing it early because my family is traveling halfway across the US to see me for Thanksgiving and my 15 yr old brother, when given the choice, said he'd rather see the house decorated for Christmas.

SO, that's what I did. ;)

It isn't just because I am insane, though, of course, I DID give him the choice......

In my world, the only Christmas-related thing that is allowed to exist before Thanksgiving is the music we practice in choir.

Christmas isn't acceptable in my world until the week of Thanksgiving at the EARLIEST. But no, they're already selling Christmas trees in my town!
