Ten Truths About Artsy Types
1. We either have no concept of organization, or are so organized it's scary. We either have no idea where our backed up files are because we don't want to make our way through the maze that is our desk space, or we have a filing cabinet filled with floppy disks and CDs.
2. We are not nice people when it comes to our passion(s). If you think Oscar Wilde was a famous feral child, we will tell you without tact nor empathy that you need to go back to high school. If you think Rent is a musical about a woman who sleeps with her landlord, we will steal your chick flicks and replace them with the Rent libretto, the soundtrack (OBC of couse), and Anthony Rapp's book Without You.
Oh, and Anime is not one thing. The Anime fans amongst us will make that clear if you even imply believing otherwise.
3. We don't understand nor particularly like people, except fellow artsy types. They don't understand nor particularly like us.
We consider this a blessing.
4. We have two faces: normal types think we are God-fearing mothers, studious high school/college students, dutiful employees, and loving spouses. The Broadway musicals we listen to are absolutely clean. We create artwork of beautiful birds and flowers. We're so innocent - and the perfect role model for neighborhood children to look to!
Artsy types know about the kinky fanfic we are working on. And the fact that our favorite Broadway song is "La Vie Boheme."
5. We do not like fangirls. We do not consider fangirls a part of our world; they are in it for the hype.
We scald them. Without remorse.
6. We have our own worlds. We may talk to ourselves while trying to "capture" dialogue for a story, sing in public, and doodle with anything that shows up on paper.
We are aware that they have medical terms to describe such behavior - and are quite proud of it.
7. When working on a story or piece of art, we are not to be interrupted. If the house catches fire... let's hope the fire trucks arrive quickly.
8. When given a character to play, we will make ourselves become the character. We will find ways to incorporate that characters' behavior into our own lives. We will drive our friends crazy by constantly repeating lines.
9. We have no respect for anyone who speaks pseudo Japanese.
10. Despite all of these things, we are generally approachable, friendly people. You just need to learn to love us.
And if you can't... not our problem.
;)

I WILL note that this list is slightly to highly exaggerated - except #10. It's meant in good humor. :)
