I was really happy that Harry and Ginny were finally together; not only that, but they were happy together (we all know their relationship is paused, not stopped). I was surprised but pleased about Remus and Tonks. I felt vindicated that Snape came from a grimy factory town, it explained a lot about his insecurities. My biggest impression on finishing the book was "Wow... I want Book 7. Wait a minute - no, I don't! That's THE LAST BOOK!"
