One of those "commend and I will..." meme

1. I'll respond with something random I like about you.
2. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.
3. I'll name something we should do together.
4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me (or just me).
5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.
6. I'll leave you a quote that is somehow appropriate to you.
7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.
8. If I do this for you, you must post this on your journal. You MUST.

(Sorry I deleted the last comment... ask me in IM if you want)

1. Your name is completely eye catching. Seriously, the moment I saw you at SQ I was like, "thatperson must be very interesting, in a good way." I was right!

2. That Penguin movie, March of the Penguins. Do I really need to explain?

3. We should go to a Zoo, and I can take pictures of you making evil faces at the Penguins.

4. Well, to just us and a few others - toast.

5. I remember you posting about those weird reviews you used to get from the Penguin Lovers Association of Fandom. ^^

6. Sadly, I cannot think of one. Gaaah.

7. Do you really dislike Penguins?

1. You're frank, but in a good way. If something needs to be said, you say it. I'm never afraid that if I ask you something, you won't be honest with me.

2. "Afterwards", which you wrote yourself. :D

3. If we got together, I'd probably suggest seeing a play or musical.

4. "FRIENDS - with benefits." (Yes, a crack at a certain tv show... albeit probably not so reliable, at least on my end).

5. I remember your fics, and thinking it was cool you were writing musicals.

6. "Why can't a guy and a girl just be friends?" Because of that convo we were having about people who think friends all have to fall in love. Granted, When Harry Met Sally pretty much does say all friends have to fall in love, but still.

7. Why do you have "Wallpaper" in your name, and "Wallpaper-er"?

[identity profile] barbara-the-w.livejournal.com 2006-03-09 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
1. My name is not Longbottom! ;) Coolness!
2. wheeee!
3. Heh. And I don't even really *like* musicals. ;)
4. *snicker*
5. *blushes*
6. yeah
7. "Wallpaper-er" comes from my old days in the Alan Rickman fandom. I used to make computer wallpaper, hence "Barbara, the Wallpaper-er." I've discovered since that, strangely, no one else uses that name.... ;)

1. You're so sweet.

2. Chronicles of Narnia. See your avatar.

3. You live in New York City, so... yeah. Explore!

4. "Tip."

5. I remember seeing you on the 87 threads.

6. "I'm gonna knock on your door" or whatever it's called. I dunno, just your name.

7. Did you always live in NYC?

[identity profile] locked-door998.livejournal.com 2006-03-06 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
I don't live in NYC - I live on the fringes of the city on Long Island. :)

[identity profile] author-by-night.livejournal.com 2006-03-06 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
Ohh, I see.

Anytime. :)

1. You're way beyond your years in some ways.
2. This isn't a song or a movie, but Lost, since you're a fan.
3. Debate H/D. ;) (Just kidding!)
4. Bush/Kerry.
5. I remember you telling me about your stupid Theology teacher.
6. "Defying gravity!" No, really.
7. Is it "Abbey" or "Abby"?

[identity profile] abbers44.livejournal.com 2006-03-06 12:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee!

It's Abbey, like the road. :)

1. You never showed me that play you wrote! *Poke*
2. Book - Eragorn/Eragon/whatever the title is. Because wasn't there an Elf named Arya?
3. Something Harry Potter related.
4. Sox. Well, it makes sense to only us and fellow extreme Quillers.
5. You were asking me for advice about how your play character would be made to slap someone.
6. Gaah... can't think of one!
7. What your real name is, but you can't give that, so I just call you Arya.

[identity profile] author-by-night.livejournal.com 2006-03-06 12:40 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Your icon is so neat.
2. Star Wars.
3. Something Harry Potterish.
4. Mrs.Moony!
5. I remember seeing you... "somewhere."
6. "May the force be with you.'
7. Is your name really Victoria?

[identity profile] victorialupin.livejournal.com 2006-03-08 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, my name is really Victoria. :)

Ah, somewhere. I see.

Sounds like fun! Do me, do me!!!

[identity profile] author-by-night.livejournal.com 2006-03-06 12:45 pm (UTC)(link)
1. You're well rounded.
2. Legally Blonde - not because you're a ditz, but because you like to have fun, but you're also very intelligent.
3. Hmmm...
4. I really can't think of anything...
5. Being upset because I thought you weren't allowed to go to the Debaunte Ball.
6. I'm not sure - sorry. :(
7. Is your name Astrid or... well, I forget the other name, but you get the idea.

[identity profile] emzlebub.livejournal.com 2006-03-06 11:14 am (UTC)(link)
Responding...

[identity profile] author-by-night.livejournal.com 2006-03-06 12:57 pm (UTC)(link)
1. I think fellow archaelogy geeks are fun to talk to! (Though you're doing it for a career).
2. Titanic, since you're one of the few people I know who liked the movie.
3. Something Harry Potterish.
4. Emzlebub - it sounds a bit like a word.
5. I remember that old avatar you used for a long time, with someone sticking out their tongue.
6. I'm sorry, can't really think of one. :(
7. I'd just like to know you better in general.

[identity profile] author-by-night.livejournal.com 2006-03-07 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
1. I'll respond with something random I like about you.

You're so sweet, and you introduced me to Jack Chick, who is so much fun to make fun of.

2. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.

Harry Potter.

3. I'll name something we should do together.

I think we should make our own "tracts", only put in angel Muslims and have God hugging Atheists and Masons. We can make the ending be, "after all, God loves EVERYONE, dingbat!" Then we can mail the tracts to Jack Chick.

4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me (or just me).

"The Evils of Masonry OMG!"

5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.

That avatar you used to have, with the woman looking at some guy thinking "he's hot."

6. I'll leave you a quote that is somehow appropriate to you.

Instead of going to Heaven, at last -

I'm going, all along.

- Emily Dickinson

7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.

How did YOU find Jack Chick? I feel sorry for you, however you did find the weirdo.

From this page: http://slacktivist.typepad.com/

The guy does this great critique of the Left Behind novels, and one of the commenters referred (and linked) to a Chick tract (I think) The Last Generation.
