(A lot has to do with the twist at the end which I felt failed, because aside from the predictability there was little setup with that to the point where it just fell incredibly flat, and not just with the Depp casting.)


I DO wonder what they were thinking with the Depp casting, although it may have been before the abuse story came out.

I want more depth, more substance, more background on characters and situations and this world/era that we're seeing more of.

Me too - especially as this is the very thing JKR is known for.
