I don't think it has anything to do with offending other people: it's your LJ, and you can say what you want, and others can choose to read it, or not.

I, for one, choose not to read rantange from people who habitually rant (and there are many of them!). When someone rants a lot, you start to take that person's posts with a grain of salt: the rants sort of lose their edge after awhile.

So...it's not a question of offending anyone, it's more a question of 'what is your fundamental attitude?' You asked for opinions, and people answered, but I read the answers you got, and I can't see where *anyone* claimed to be offended by you.
