I loved Bert's sendoff, but that's the kind of thing I love. It seemed to fit, as there haven't been any hallucinations or flashbacks this season yet that I recall. I don't think he ever sang that song in a show - he's famous (and likely on Mad Men) for How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. It was just one of those hit parade, endlessly covered things.

Also glad they've toned down the counterculture. It always felt a bit to me like they included that because it was stereotypically 1960s, but the ways it was involved this season were more true to the characters.

Joan and Pete being pissed off together in the last meeting tickled me. Don't stand against them!
