(Mostly) Friends Only

Friending Policy: Friend away, but let me know you're doing so because I might miss it otherwise. My posts are mostly protected, so if it looks like I never update, that's why. I update pretty regularly, in fact.
While this isn't strictly a fannish/media blog, I do talk about fannish/media things a lot. This might be a dealbreaker for some people, which I understand.
Fannish interests: Schitt's Creek is really the only fandom I write fic for these days, but I'm also into Our Flag Means Death and 911 meta and such. Other fannish interests include Buffyverse, Firefly, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Parks and Recreation, and Heartstopper.

If you want to write something based on something I've written, double check with me first, but for the most part I'd be flattered! I'd also love for someone to do a podfic based on my work.
If you recognize me from older fandoms, I apologize for any teenage/college kid stupidity you might have witnessed
Other things I talk about: Why people do the things they do, fandom thoughts, general media and entertainment thoughts, random observations. I'll often find questions on the internet (Quora and AskReddit, mostly) and answer them. Sometimes I also tackle reddit advice subs.
I don't talk about my personal life very often, but I get into it here and there. I occasionally discuss paranormal things and spiritual musings (not specific to any religion or belief system; furthermore, when I say I'm open to all beliefs, I really do mean that, as long as they don't infringe on anyone else's rights).

Mind if I add you as a friend? This is pretty cool, everyone I know IRL is mostly on facebook (old classmates, my son's friends parents, etc), not LJ, which has been my fandom haven.
Basically, I live with my husband and kids "in town" (you can see the firehouse, parking garage and library all from various points in my house) and my husband and I graduated from JC in 1990 and moved back here to be closer to our parents after going to college at Widener and spending several years in Philly. We've been back for almost 10 years though.
