I feel the same. Those little girls were so innocent, with their minds untouched with endless images of violence we see on TV, in the movies etc. They had to be very frightened. Yet, the eldest of them was so brave, and apparently felt responsible for the younger girls.
I have so much admiration for the girl and her sister. I don't know if I'd have the personal character to do the same if I were in their situation. Wow, just wow.
Oh, the whole thing as you say, is heart-breaking. Those poor girls who survived are going to have a hard time of it for a while. And that brave, good girl. Sigh. Look at the spectrum of human nature between shooter and victim.
It's so horrible. Just thinking about how terribly scared those girls must have been and yet... they were so brave. I simply cannot believe or understand how the shooter could have been so cruel and so utterly cold-blooded.
